The Spice Boys are four Makyo-seijins replacing Garlic Junior's original crew, Ginger, Nicky, and Sansho. They are under the command of Garlic Jr. during the Garlic Jr. Saga. They are strong, brave, evil, and totally devoted to Garlic Junior. Their names are derived from condiments: Mustard, Salt, Spice, and Vinegar. The leader is Spice, a white-haired Makyo-seijin and the most handsome of the four. Salt is a short and stubby red Makyo-seijin with a Mongolian-type hat. Both Mustard and Vinegar are large, brawny, muscled Makyo-seijins.At the beginning of the Garlic Jr. Saga, Salt and Mustard kill a few innocent people. They also attack

Gohan, and Salt and Mustard hold Piccolo in place to allow the vampires (under the control of the Black Water Mist) to bite him. Spice is the only one of the four who seems to know that anyone bitten by

someone infected by the Black Water Mist will become just like them. When Gohan and Krillin arrive at Kami's Lookout, Salt and Mustard fight Krillin and Gohan, beating them up. Salt nearly kills Krillin with an energy blast which forces Gohan to unleashe his hidden powers, killing both Salt and Mustard with a Masenko blast. After Piccolo reveals that he was only pretending to be affected by the Black Water Mist, Gohan and Krillin fight Spice and Vinegar and seem evenly matched. Gohan defeats Spice and Vinegar, seriously injuring them both (Spice being impaled on a spike). But both Spice and Vinegar are powered up and healed by the Makyo Star, beefing up. They begin to pummel Gohan and Krillin, Vinegar nearly killing Krillin. Out of rage, Gohan kills both Spice and Vinegar simultaneously in midair, unleashing his hidden powers once again.

Trivia[]

  • Many fans have asked Atari to put the Spice Boys (or at least Spice) in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 prior to its release, but Atari ignored every one of their e-mails and requests. The Spice Boys have not appeared in any Dragonball Z game to date. It is unlikely they ever will, as Tenkaichi 3 was announced to be the last game of its kind, and Atari never includes filler characters that don't appear in
